REEL || This is my director of animation reel. I designed all characters and animated many of these shots, myself. I either designed backgrounds or worked with designers for these scenes (forests backgrounds by Mickey Nuspl or Sjan Weijers. Animation in Adobe After Effects with DuIK and Joysticks n' Sliders. Cel animation done in Adobe Animate.

SCOTTISH & FARFRAY (2021) | WRITER/DIRECTOR/CREATOR || For this project, I wrote the script, created characters, built the animatic, did scene layouts, voiced most characters, made music selections, and directed additional voice acting; commissioned and gave feedback on the key background design (providing an initial layout for it), created the secondary background, and commissioned and gave feedback on sound design.

WRITER/DIRECTOR || "ROWAN" (2020) This project was done (from script to final export) in 4 days. I created the character rigs and a couple of backgrounds within 2 days; tasked FX animator Doug Meloche with his effects for 3 days, and had Mickey Nuspl designing backgrounds for 2 days. I developed a production plan, hand-picked my team, created the majority of this artwork and then animated the majority of these scenes. The opening sequence is beautifully animated by Josh York. We were all pleased with how this turned out after such an aggressive schedule.

EDUCATION REEL (2020/2021) | At Washington University in St. Louis, I work with faculty to visualize concepts and analogies for their courses. This is a reel depicting various projects.

DIRECTOR, ARTIST || “TERRY’S SAFETY SQUAD: EP. 2” (2019) -- For this project, I drew all the artwork, storyboarded and revised some of the scripting. We used DuIK rigging in After Effects. I divided this project into scenes, animating some and delegating others to Josh York.

WRITER, DIRECTOR, ANIMATOR, VO || "SAFARIOMI: ANIMAL RESCUE" (2021) -- This short features a blend of animation and live-action film. I came up with the concept, character designs, and visual approach/look, then animated it directed the efforts of the background artist and actors to help bring this to life.

MOTION GRAPHICS (2020) | This project comes from my time taking the School of Motion course, "Explainer Camp," whose aim was to teach students how to break down the elements needed in creating an effective explainer video. (Note: the music is watermarked). I took the voice-over and broke it down into abstract concepts and used basic shapes to convey meaning.

ANIMATION DIRECTOR, EDITOR || BUILD-A-BEAR: THE WORKSHOP (2019) | I edited and directed animation for this series. For this particular video, we had a very short turnaround time, so I had artist Mickey Nusple create a very minimalist look to animate. She designed the characters and provided the illustrations. I then took those characters, created rigs, laid out shots and set up project files, decided on our creative approach, and animated much of this piece.

ANIMATION & VOICE ACTING | This was a frame-by-frame animation done in Adobe Animate.

DIRECTOR, ARTIST || “A TALE OF TWO WOMBATS” (48hr Film Project, 2019) -- This project was created within 48 hours. Because of the limitations, I had to animate minimally.

This was my "Fantasia Project" inspired by a High School assignment I received in Sr. Lit. We were given this piece of Tchaikovsky and told to interpret it with words. I wrote a children's poem that I, eventually, started animating but never quite finished.

**EMMY-WINNER | DIRECTOR, ARTIST || “TERRY’S SAFETY SQUAD: EP. 1” (2018) This project won a Mid-America Emmy in the PSA category. That was a treat for us.

HANGIN' WITH LOS HENRYS (2018) -- This project was a streaming show that was independently funded. I was tasked with layout, design, illustration, and animation of this story.
