GRAPHIC DESIGN

This is a YouTube thumbnail for my animation podcast, Making Imagination. I had created a thumbnail template to use for each episode. This image features artwork from animated project on which this particular artist worked.

HOPECOMMUNITYPROJECT.ORG | This was an image I'd designed while I was with Haiti Orphan Project (now Hope Community Project). I was given a number of statistics and information that needed to be included, so I laid this information out in a way that would read clearly and look appealing.

This was a personal thumbnail I designed for a series for which I was editor and animation director.

This was a poster I put together for a church congregation.

CARVERS (SYFY) | I put this poster together after working on the TV pilot episode. The idea was to illustrate that these carvers generate a lot of incredible pieces. I had to cut out and arrange each image to give the gist of the show.

These images are two versions of the same wheel. Working with a faculty member at WashU, an instructional designer and I wanted to know what concepts were frequently misunderstood. Her answer was "the feedback loop." I worked with her to design this visual aid. I believe she ended up using the version on the left.

This image was a redesign challenge. I was given a flat image of this particular process and asked to redesign it to demonstrate my design skills. I retained the main colors (dulling them a bit) and gave the chart a more three-dimensional/tactile feel.

This was a concept movie poster I put together for a feature film set in Haiti. It was my response to witnessing Haiti's poverty up close. I crafted a concept about three children, separated after the 2010 earthquake, who find each other again (at the instigating of the eldest, the "shepherd.").

WEBSITE CONCEPT | This was a concept web page I'd created, I believe, in tandem with a TV series concept while I was at Coolfire Studios.

COOLFIRE FOUNDATION | These are two separate designs promoting different events. The design on the left promoted the newly-established Coolfire Foundation. The one on the right promoted a movie-themed 5K race. Another designer had designed the "Hollywood Hustle" text treatment that I then used to build the rest of the flyer/poster.

This was a lifetime appreciation poster for my grandfather's funeral when he passed away. I put it together fairly quickly, but the family found it meaningful.

This was a series poster I'd created for a men's travel show. I wanted to capture a sense of journey; this hero shot was taken from the series intro.

These banner designs are images I'd created when Facebook was still using vertical banners. It's a collage of images for Nicktoons' animated series Voltron Force, and eQuoteMD, when I worked briefly in medical insurance marketing.

I was asked to design a map of the United States for a men's travel series. While these, ultimately, weren't the right flavor, I went for something modern and casual.
